Familia means FAMILY. Traditionally, in the Latin American societies & cultures, family is the most important social unit. The term familia usually goes beyond the nuclear family to include not only parents, children and extended family, but also non-blood relatives near and dear. All familia are taught from a young age to have a moral responsibility to aid other members of the family experiencing financial problems, unemployment, poor health conditions, and other life issues.
