Services: A hotline to collect community data on language access gaps in education, healthcare, legal and government settings. The hotline will accompany impacted people to make a complaint, share Know Your Rights information and make multilingual referrals when possible. Community members can call, text or send a whatsapp message to the LLAC hotline at 504-315-5751. A volunteer will respond within 3 business days to complete an intake, listen to stories and concerns, and offer information and support. Community members can also click here to submit an intake form to the hotline without calling.
Services: The Emergency Broadband Benefit is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new benefit will connect eligible households to jobs, critical healthcare services, virtual classrooms, and so much more.
Services: Free ALAS is a New Orleans nonprofit organization that increases youth access to education by training school staff and educators on how to support immigrant students and system-impacted youth, and how staff and educators can help connect youth to pro bono legal representation.
